My name is Gabriela Vidal, and I am a full-time reporter/multimedia journalist. I've been in the television news industry for four years, starting out in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and most recently in Austin, Texas. I was raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and I am a proud alumnus of the University of Southern California (Go Trojans). 

Telling stories has been a passion of mine since the moment I could first write. I love to explore new and unfamiliar topics when on assignment, and I also champion for covering topics that highlight the underrepresented communities in which I serve. As a native Spanish speaker and family of immigrants, I also love contributing where I can to help tell stories that resonate with the Spanish-speaking community. 

My goal is to constantly grow as a journalist by exploring new cities and new cultures as well as immersing myself in uncomfortable and compelling conversations that help bring about lasting change.
